Join us for Week 9 of our cycling adventures, where we'll embark on thrilling journeys to St. Thomas, New Sarum, and Springfield, each offering its own unique blend of scenery, history, and culinary delights.
Route Options:
St. Thomas - 62km:
Begin your ride with a gradual 2-kilometer climb south on Wonderland Road, offering picturesque views as you exit the Thames Valley.
Journey south on Bostwick Road to Exeter, where you'll cross a short overpass over the 401.
Enjoy the rolling terrain of White Oak Road, followed by the straightaways of Ferguson Line.
Experience a thrilling descent near the Dalewood Conservation Area before reaching a Tim Hortons on the outskirts of town for a brief rest stop.
Double back to London, completing your 62-kilometer journey.
New Sarum - 91km:
Explore the charming village of New Sarum and its historic diner, which dates back to the 1800s.
Follow a similar route as St. Thomas, with a detour south from Ferguson Line using Yarmouth Centre Line to reach New Sarum.
Indulge in the hospitality of Elgin County's oldest diner before heading north on a long, gradual climb up Bellmont Road.
Take winding Old Victoria Road home, connecting to the Thames Valley Parkway back to the start, totaling 91 kilometers.
MennoMex :
Venture further afield to Springfield, with the destination being Mennomex just outside of Aylmer.
Delight your taste buds with some of the best burritos and tamales, including delicious breakfast burritos.
Enjoy scenic routes and rolling countryside as you make your way to Springfield, soaking in the beauty of the surroundings.
Connect to the Thames Valley Parkway for the return journey, completing your 104-kilometer ride.
